Hello World, Finally :)

This site is built with Next.js (opens in a new tab) and a library called Nextra (opens in a new tab). It says:

It allows you to write Markdown and focus on the content of your portfolio.

And I agree. I like markdown and now I can start writing instead of comparing 10 different Headless CMSs to store my useless words.

This is hosted on Vercel (opens in a new tab) on a Hobby plan, which is generous enough for a personal blog. This is also my chance to try all the fun stuffs from Vercel Analytics (opens in a new tab), their Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which based on real user experience. Of course now there is not much to look at and the performance scores are near perfect, but hopefully once I add more complicated page and there are enough data and traffic, it will be more interesting.

This is a work in progress. I guess it will always be as I wanted to make this blog a large digital garden (opens in a new tab).

But there are some stuffs I really want to work on next that I will note down here:

  • [feature] Make some feature posts display on home page
  • [feature] Post suggestion at the end of post page

Basically just write more so I can swith the home page to focus on my blogs. Currently it's just random facts about myself which I only leave there instead of an about page because I only have a single blog post 😅.
